Hi!! If you are looking for a cool place to grab some bbq there is a resturant/bar named "Igors" that is about 7 blocks from the hotel. Went there for dinner tonight and thought it was worth recommending as an option within walking distance from teh hotel. Also, the scenery, is a plus is that if you chose to walk.
So anyway if you go somewhere and want to share it with the group, just add it to this blog and that everyone will have a heads up on some nice spots here in New Orleans.

Another great place to go is behind the Hampton Inn in the Garden District, there is a little bar called The Baguette. It has great food, trivia and other games at the bar, two awsome bartenders named Mike and Nebulous, and pool tables. I enjoyed a great time with them and several patrons as we competed in games and contributed to the economy. If you feel like doing this as well, stop by and hang out for a little bit. The economy needs it, and its a great place to hide out with some locals.
